Project artist book

In June ELP are having a show of artist's books in Westminster Reference Library. The book has to be inspired in some way by the venue. I've been making a Westminster alphabet book - better crack on, I've only done 6 letters so far.

This is where the magic happens. (Pringles optional.)

This is a baren, a Japanese invention used for hand printing,

Woodcutting tools, all havedifferent shaped blades.

Safewash ink is magic, you can wash it out with water.

Japanese vinyl is helpfully double sided, and softer than linocut
My beautiful v-gauge Swiss cutting tool. It's a thing of beauty.
Important - background TV when you work. I  usually favour crime shows.

Printmaking is not for wusses. There may be injuries.

Coming tomorrow: some of the prints.
